about squish

squish is my roborovski dwarf hamster! i adopted him on april 23rd, 2026. i love spoiling him and watching him run on his cute pink wheel :3 i'll be using this page to post pictures of him and archive resources for proper care!

i upgraded squish's sandbath with a giant acyrlic bathroom organizer i got from the store... little worried he wont be able to get in and out of it but i moved some stuff around to hopefully help him get in and out fairly easily.... v_v sandbath upgrade was def overdue but i was struggling to find something tht he could get in out of without hurting himself, since he's so small and all. so he's got a little cork bark bridge i rigged up. i'm looking into purchasing a set of platforms that also come with a little like. ramp thing? so this might be my sign to pull the trigger.. hmm...

i also got a lot of hamster stuff on mercari for $30 which. was a steal. it included a niteangel wheel the perfect size for squish, a niteangel water bottle, a sealing food container, and two water bowls. i jumped on it and i'm glad i did. squish's old wheel was really bulky bc the base was huge? so this one freed up quite a bit of room for him on the ground while not changing the size of the wheel at all, which is nice. washed and sanitized everything and ended up having to swap the water bottles back out because of the bigger sand bath skfdlgkflkgjdfg but it's nice to have. i eventually want to upgrade squish to a bucatstate like i have miso in but he's enjoying his current enclosure and has a ton of burrows set up throughout the entire thing so i really hesitate to keep changing stuff around on him.

i apologize for no squish pictures lately... i only catch him out at like 5 am when i stick my head in the room to check on everyone before i leave for work... i love my pets but them all being nocturnal kinda sucks! but only because i miss them when they're not out. only miso is out at a decent hour, usually around 8:30PM. so i get to see him a lot which is nice because i've been able to work with him and help him. regardless, its so rewarding taking care of all of my little tiny critters, i love them all so much.
