"Nah, I'm a spirit pulled from my body, a ghost. I'm a man who vanished from this world after Raccoon City, no, rather, I'm someone who can't exist in this world. As I wander the dark gray fog, I'll call it the 'Silver Ghost.'"

A custom handgun made for Leon. While keeping the basic design of the MUP, its parts were carefully chosen and machined to improve performance. According to an article in ARMS Magazine No.211, Leon visits Joe Kendo and requests to have a handgun built for him before leaving for his mission to investigate Ashley's kidnapping. Kendo considers Leon's request for a tactical handgun with certain parts and surprises him with a completely original design. After seeing it, Leon approves of Kendo's custom creation. Leon names it the "Silver Ghost" to match his view of himself, a spirit pulled out from his body.

One of my favorite guns in the game despite it being one of the weakest, paired with the laser sight it's just satisfying to use!

"A weapon suited for close encounters. It has been Leon's go-to since receiving it during his time at the R.P.D."

I think Leon keeps this knife as a reminder of the promise he made to Marvin and to remind himself of the consequences of failing. His knife being the symbol of Leon and his survior's guilt is fitting as it can be used as a tool, to defend yourself, or to kill. I wonder if Leon kept more from his night in Raccoon or if this was the only thing.

"A large and powerful submachine gun. The long and heavy body helps to reduce recoils, which makes it great for concentrated suppressive fire."

Known as the Chicago Typewriter in the original Resident Evil 4, the Chicago Sweeper is a bonus weapon unlocked after beating the game on professional with an A or higher rank. It is the most inaccurate, slowest to reload, takes the most number of inventory slots, and the most expensive to fully upgrade in the game. It's final upgrade allows infinite ammo and eliminates the need to reload, making it ideal for higher difficulty runs.

Paired with Leon's pinstripe outfit in the remake it has special reload animations. In the original 4, it had special reload animations and special inventory poses! (giving my headcanon that leon is a bit of a noir film buff more credibility)

"A polymer frame handgun. Attaching a stock to it enables the weapon to shoot three-round bursts."

Matilda is a special burst-fire handgun that Leon had while in Raccoon City. The gun's name, Matilda, is a reference to the 1994 film, Leon the Professional(a terrible film, btw). It is available for purchase in Resident Evil 4 Remake from the merchant for 10 spinels. The stock upgrade allows the gun to shoot three-round bursts in extremely fast succession making it a good choice for staggering enemies and critical hits despite how much ammo it uses.

Probably my favorite gun in the game just because it's so fun and nostalgic. Seeing 27 year old Leon with matilda in his unlockable R.P.D. uniform leaves me with a bittersweet feeling. The uniform is unchanged but the man in it is no longer the naive rookie he was in Raccoon.
